AML & KYC Policy
Effective date: August 6, 2026
Prima Cripso maintains an anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) programme aligned with EU directives and Bulgarian law. Know-your-customer (KYC) checks are an essential part of that programme.
1. Purpose
We verify the identity of clients, understand the nature of their activity, and monitor transactions to detect and prevent money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, and sanctions violations.
2. Customer due diligence
Before you can fund an account or trade, we typically collect:
- Full legal name, date of birth, nationality, and residential address
- Government-issued identification and proof of address
- Information on source of funds or wealth where required
- Beneficial ownership details for corporate clients
3. Ongoing monitoring
We monitor transactions and account behaviour for unusual patterns. We may request updated documents or additional information at any time. Activity may be delayed or blocked while reviews are completed.
4. Sanctions and PEP screening
Clients are screened against applicable sanctions lists and politically exposed person (PEP) databases. Matches are investigated and may result in account rejection or termination.
5. Record keeping
Verification data and transaction records are retained for periods required by law, even after account closure.
6. Reporting
Where obliged, we file reports with the Financial Crime Investigation Service or other competent authorities. We are prohibited from informing you when a suspicious activity report has been filed (“ tipping off”).
7. Refusal and termination
We may refuse onboarding or terminate a relationship when identification cannot be completed, information appears false, risk is unacceptable, or continuing the relationship would breach legal obligations.
